Synthesis and anti-breast cancer activity of some succinimide derivatives via Michael addition reaction: arylhydrazide to maleimides

In this study five compounds were synthesized that includedsuccinimidederivatives. New compounds (S1-S5) were produced by the reaction of hydrazide derivatives with N-substituted maleimide and were diagnosed by mass spectrometry, NMR spectra of 1H and 13C, infrared spectroscopy, and the melting point of the generated compounds. Five substances wereexaminedfor their ability to inhibit breast cancer (MCF-7) using the MTT assay. When tested on breast cancer cells, the substances S3, S4, and S5 showed anti-cancer activity
