Preparation and Characterization of New Azo Dye and its use as a corrosion inhibitor in (1 M) HCl

The azo dye N-{4-hydroxy-3-[(E)-(4-hydroxyphenyl) diazenyl]phenyl} acetamide The dye features infrared spectroscopy, HNMR spectrometry, and mass spectrometry. Inhibitor A2 has been evaluated to be an effective corrosive compound at different concentrations and temperatures. Effective measurements of dynamic polarization were used. We note from the results that increasing the inhibitory concentration (A2) leads to an increase in inhibition while increasing the temperature leads to a decrease in it, as the highest inhibition efficiency (91%) was obtained at a concentration of 5*10-3 at a temperature of 298 K
